Vulva Itching

Persistant vulva itching may be a sign of a virus causing the genital wart or vaginosis infections. Pruritus vulvae is the special term, by which the itchy genital area of women is called. This disorder is quite common. The causes of pruritus vulvae include: dermatitis, psoriasis, thrush, Trichomoniasis, and other skin disorders. The condition causes discomfort and distress. Persistant vulva itching may be a sign of a virus causing the genital wart or vaginosis infections.

It is recommended to keep cool, especially at nights. The underwear should be loose fitting. Wash once or twice a day with a soap-free cleanser. It is necessary to avoid scratching the infected area.
