Bacterial Infection Vaginosis

A bacterial infection vaginosis usually cannot lead to infertility, but cervical dysplasia is more dangerous. Sexual intercourse may irritate the vagina during the course of the treatment. Women with HIV may need prolonged treatment. If no symptoms are present, treatment is usually unnecessary, with the exception being women who are pregnant. The most effective treatment is using antibiotics, given orally or as a vaginal cream. A bacterial infection vaginosis usually cannot lead to infertility, but cervical dysplasia is more dangerous.

It is not known for sure what causes BV. This condition is not harmful, but during pregnancy can adverse conditions (premature ruptures of the membranes, pre-term labor, pre-term birth). This condition is not considered a sexually transmitted disease but can be brought on by sexual activity. A bacterial infection vaginosis usually cannot lead to infertility, but cervical dysplasia is more dangerous.
