Trichomonal Vaginitis

High risk sexual behaviors increase the likelihood of acquiring trichomonal vaginitis, cervical cancer, and vaginal dysplasia. Trichomonas Vaginalisis is the protozoon that causes a sexually transmitted disease, infecting both men and women. Symptoms include profuse, thin, yellow vaginal discharge with a strong, unpleasant, fishy odor in women. Although symptoms are rare in men, a urethral discharge and burning with urination may be present. High risk sexual behaviors increase the likelihood of acquiring trichomonal vaginitis, cervical cancer, and vaginal dysplasia.
