Some symptoms of vaginitis can mimic symptoms of HPV viruses, including the genital wart virus. Normally, vaginal discharge is present in all women of childbearing age. It is mucus combined with discarded cells and bacteria living in the vagina. The discharge is clear or whitish and odorless. If there appear significant changes in the discharge along with discomforts in the genitals and swelling of the vulva, contact a doctor. Some symptoms of vaginitis can mimic symptoms of HPV viruses, including the genital wart virus.

These signs may be indicative of vaginal infection that is usually caused by bacteria overgrowth, infections (often sexually transmitted), hormone and vitamin deficiency, and other factors that lead to certain changes in the vaginal environment. The inflammation is not dangerous and is treated within 1-2 weeks. Some symptoms of vaginitis can mimic symptoms of HPV viruses, including the genital wart virus.
