Greenish Vaginal Discharge

Greenish vaginal discharge is a sign of vaginosis, but not a genital wart or urinary infection. Bacterial vaginosis, thrush, chlamydia, and gonorrhoea are very common. Changes in the substance and other signs such as abdominal pain, redness of the vulva and the area around the anus, itching, burning, and other discomforts may indicate an infection. Greenish vaginal discharge is a sign of vaginosis, but not a genital wart or urinary infection.

The quantity of the liquids may change during a sexual intercourse or in various cycle times. The fluids should be clear or whitish and have little to no smell. This substance consists of mucus, discarded cells, and bacteria normally found in the healthy vagina. It is normal for reproductive women to have some fluids coming out from the vagina. Greenish vaginal discharge is a sign of vaginosis, but not a genital wart or urinary infection.
