Light vaginal discharge, pregnant or non-pregnant is common, abnormal, unpleasant smelling discharge can mean a risk for infertility or condyloma. Expectant women experience more secretions due to changes going on in the body. Thus, the level of hormone estrogen becomes higher making the vagina produce more secretions. There also appears to be more blood flows in the area around the vagina, which also adds to the intensity of the secretions production. During the first trimester, some brownish flow is considered normal except excessive flows that may suggest a miscarriage.
