Clear vaginal discharge pregnancy is common; any changes could indicate infections that increase risk of miscarriage or vaginitis. There appear certain changes in pregnant women leading to an increase of the liquids produced by the vagina. Normal secretions that contain old cells and the flora of the vagina are mucous-like and do not cause any irritations. Due to a greater level of estrogen and other factors, there appears a greater amount of the liquids. Light secretions are common and usually accompanied by slight cramping in the abdomen and low back pains. The flow increases in amount, and should be absorbed with a pad not tampons. A normal flow should not have bad odor or cause itching and swelling of the vulva.
