Vaginal Discharge Menopause

Vaginal discharge, menopause associated, is common, however, if a positive Pap smear is experienced, cryosurgery may be used as treatment. As the estrogen production decreases, there is rapid drop in the amount of the liquids produced by the vagina. Cervical mucus that earlier served as a cleanser and a lubricant does not moisten the vagina properly leading to thinning of the lining and eventually splitting.
