Colored Vaginal Discharge

A colored vaginal discharge is rarely caused by lichen sclerosus but can be a result of HPV which may cause a vaginal wart. Usually, the liquids produced by the cervical glands and pushed from the vagina are clear and mucous-like. When the fluid comes down the vagina it mixes with discarded cells and harmless bacteria normally present in the vagina changing the color of the flow to cloudy white. When oxidized, the liquid becomes slightly yellow. A colored vaginal discharge is rarely caused by lichen sclerosus but can be a result of HPV which may cause a vaginal wart.
