Discharge, sticky vaginal secretions, in mid cycle may be an indicator of vaginosis or vaginitis. Thick mucus-like liquids from the vagina resemble an egg white or fluids coming from a running nose. This is a normal condition in women of childbearing age and should not serve an alarm unless there are significant changes in the amount and color. During pregnancy, the amount of the flow increases due to progesterone increase and blood circulation in the area. Heavy secretions are normal a few days before delivery. If there appears blood or pain along with the increased level of liquids, you may need to contact a health care provider.
