Lichens Sclerosis

Lichens sclerosis is a common genital disorder, along with venereal wart or genital wart viruses. In women, LS falls under the category of vulvodynia (chronic vulvar pain). It is not a contagious condition. The most common sufferers of LS are post-menopausal women, although the disease can strike women of any age. An increased risk of developing vulval or penile cancer is associated with this infection. Lichens sclerosis is a common genital disorder, along with venereal wart or genital wart viruses.
