Lichens Sclerosis

Lichens sclerosis is not related to the urinary infection or a verruca. Misdiagnosis for LS is a yeast infection; other misdiagnoses include herpes or a bacteria infection. This chronic disease occurs in women aged 40 to 60. This condition is not contagious. Treatments often include non-prescriptive methods with ingredients such as beta glucans, flax seed oil, omega vitamins, or aloe vera (gel/pills). Lichens sclerosis is not related to the urinary infection or a verruca.

Urinary Infection, Verruca

An increased risk of developing vulval or penile cancer is associated with this infection. The most common sufferers of LS are post-menopausal women, although the disease can strike women of any age. It is not a contagious condition. In women, LS falls under the category of vulvodynia (chronic vulvar pain). Lichens sclerosis is not related to the urinary infection or a verruca.
