Vaginal Discharge In Pregnancy

Vaginal discharge in pregnancy is normal; if this occurs along with a virus it could indicate ASCUS, treatable with cryosurgery. There appear certain changes in pregnant women leading to an increase of the liquids produced by the vagina. Normal secretions that contain old cells and the flora of the vagina are mucous-like and do not cause any irritations. Due to a greater level of estrogen and other factors, there appears a greater amount of the liquids. Vaginal discharge in pregnancy is normal; if this occurs along with a virus it could indicate ASCUS, treatable with cryosurgery.

The amount of the secretions produced by the cervix and vagina becomes more as the labor approaches. There should not be any color changes or odor in the flow. If you happen to see brown or bloody flow, call your heath care provider since these may be the symptoms of a miscarriage, or a premature labor. Vaginal discharge in pregnancy is normal; if this occurs along with a virus it could indicate ASCUS, treatable with cryosurgery.
