Red Vaginal Discharge

Red vaginal discharge occurring outside the menstrual cycle may indicate an infectious lesion threatening infertility or miscarriage. The vagina keeps the balance of bacteria found there and produces a certain amount of liquids that protect women from possible infections. These secretions are expelled from the vagina and appear to be sticky and clear (or whitish). The flow does not have odor and is harmless.
