Vaginal Discharge Mucous

Vaginal discharge mucous secretions may change as a result of a human papillomavirus infection and require a colposcopy examination. These are secretions that keep the balance of normally present bacteria inside the vagina, which is a gateway between the vagina and other organs that comprise the female reproductive system. Cervical liquids mix with discarded cells and bacterial flora of the vagina to be expelled. A small amount of these secretions are visible except the time when there are menses. During ovulation, there reappears a certain amount of clear or milky liquids that are sticky and odorless. A decrease/increase in the secretions produced accompanied by other signs is indicative of a medical problem.
