When diagnosed in children, urinary tract infection is usually not caused by the same things that causes a urinary infection in adults, such as the human papilloma virus presence. Parents should be very attentive to the small baby, because symptoms of serious disorders may easily be overlooked. The child becomes restless; crying cannot be resolved by usual measures; it looses appetite and may suffer of diarrhea, fever or vomiting. Urine is cloudy and has an unusual smell and may contain blood. Such condition should be treated immediately.
