Pain and frequent urge to urinate are the symptoms of urinary infection; abnormal vaginal discharge is usually associated with human papilloma virus. In babies, signs of the UTI can be overlooked or misunderstood. If the infection has reached the kidneys, pain in the back or side, fever, vomiting and nausea are possible. The urine may be milky or cloudy, sometimes, with blood.
