Chlamydial Urethritis

Chlamydial urethritis is sexually transmitted and detected with a Cervical chlamydia swabs similar to a pap smear used for HPV. A discharge from the penis and swollen testes can indicate nonspecific urethritis. The symptoms are often mistaken for gonorrhea but will persist after treatment for gonorrhea. Chlamydia and gonorrhea often occur together. Risk factors include multiple sexual partners and sexual contact without condoms.
