Male urinary tract infections have a lower incidence of occurrence than female urinary infection, but genital herpes has the same occurrence in both male and female. Men are less prone to UTIs than women, because women’s urethrae are much shorter and there are more chances of bacteria from the anus to get into the urethra. Uncircumcised men develop UTIs more often than circumcised men since bacteria can accumulate beneath the foreskin.
