With the urinary tract infection, women seem to develop them more often than men but the human papillomavirus is just as common in both men and woman and seems to be linked with urinary infection. Girls’ urethrae are much shorter than boys’ and they are more prone to developing UTIs. Girls should be taught to wipe front-to back when they are toilet-trained; it helps to prevent the entering of the bacteria from the anus.
