A pap photo smear is an accurate way to detect cervical cancer caused by HPV. Loose cells of the cervical mucous membrane are taken with a swab and then placed in a solution and examined under a microscope. Cytology is used to identify cellular abnormalities related to infections, e.g. Human Papilloma virus, diseases, and other problems. A pap photo smear is an accurate way to detect cervical cancer caused by HPV.
