Liquid Pap Smear

A liquid pap smear can determine the presence of HPV, that sometimes causes vaginal discharge. Papanicolaou test has been used for more than six decades already to evaluate the state of cells found in the cervix and detect abnormalities that could indicate the possibility of cancer development. Normally, a sample taken from the cervix takes from 7 to 10 days to be examined in a lab. A liquid pap smear can determine the presence of HPV, that sometimes causes vaginal discharge.
