Causes Of Abnormal Pap Smears
There are several causes of abnormal pap smears, HPV, vaginitis, HIV, etc; if the abnormal condition is not treated on early stage, it can lead to infertility, miscarriages and even cancer.
Some cells may appear atypical or precancerous with changes being less severe than when a woman has cancer. Recurrent tests are needed as the infection may hide cervical cancer. If an infection has been found, a treatment course is applied with the repeat check-up in 2-3 months.
