HPV Pap Smear

An hpv pap smear is used for early diagnosis of human papillomavirus, possibly preventing ASCUS. Human papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted condition, is believed to be the cause of cervical cancer in more than 90% of cases. There are about 60 various types of human papillomavirus that lead to the appearance of genital warts, yet more often the condition is asymptomatic. However, women diagnosed with human papillomavirus should regularly perform Papanicolaou tests to reveal cervical cancer at an early stage of the development.
