Bleeding After A Pap Smear

Bleeding after a pap smear may be from cervical dysplasia or the irritation of a verruca papule. Papanicolaou is a simple painless procedure that involves scraping a tissue from the cervix, placing it on a slide and examining under a microscope for abnormalities that could suggest cervical cancer or an infection. Papanicolaou test is done as part of regular pelvic examination. Bleeding after a pap smear may be from cervical dysplasia or the irritation of a verruca papule.
