Pap Smears During Pregnancy

Pap smears during pregnancy are often done to determine ASCUS or causes of vaginal discharge. This safe procedure is performed in pregnant women to reveal changes in the cervical cells and find out the cause of abnormalities if there are any. Papanicolaou test involved taking a tissue sample with a wooden or plastic instrument from the low part of the womb and analyzing the sample.
