Ascus Pap
An ASCUS pap is more suspicious if a partner has a penile wart or venereal wart.
Test results may indicate that there were abnormal squamous cells found (squamous cells are the type that cover most of the normal cervix). The cells can be abnormal for many reasons (irritation, infection, hormones and others). Many times, the abnormality will resolve naturally although sometimes it persists.
