ASCUS AGUS may be present when a vaginal wart or venereal wart is seen.
The terms stand for Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance and Atypical Glandular cells of Undetermined Significance. The changes caused by these cells are within the top layer of the cervix, not causing cancer. Women having two or more abnormal Pap smears should undergo colposcopy and cervical biopsy.
