HPV Ascus

The hpv ascus results from a thin prep pag test if advanced enough, will require cryosurgery along with a colposcopy. It usually takes many years for cancer of the cervix to develop. Without treatment severely dysplastic cells penetrate deeper layers of the cervix and spread to other organs, causing invasive cervical cancer. Cancer is unlikely to progress in women who don’t smoke or have other cervical cancer risk factors. In many women, infection with certain types of human papilloma virus is the first step in the progression from a normal cervix to cervical cancer.
