Pap Smear And Pregnancy

A pap smear and pregnancy will often have an ASCUS or vaginal dysplasia test result. It is not uncommon to have a higher incidence of dysplasia among expectant women than women who are not with child. A primary factor is that expectant women have a greater chance of getting cytology tests than the normal population of women; thus, the probability of discovering atypical cervical cells is increased. A pap smear and pregnancy will often have an ASCUS or vaginal dysplasia test result.
