Pap Sure

A cervical test is called a pap sure way of determining the presence of HPV or a venereal wart. A cytology offers the opportunity to detect pre-cancerous and cancerous cervical conditions early while it can be easily treated and its progression stopped. Nearly all cervical carcinomas are associated with HPV infections and it is not known if the virus is ever completely eliminated from the infected body. During suppressed stages the chance of infection is remote; detection through standard testing is unlikely. HPV may lie inactive for many years before reappearing. The state of the immune system will determine its endurance. Unless approved testing such as HPV DNA results indicate 100% virus free, transmissibility must be assumed.
