Expectant mothers are recommended to undergo Papanicolaou test that determines the presence of precancerous and cancerous cells in the cervix. This provides seasonable treatment or eliminates the chance of developing cervical cancer. Papanicolaou test should be done as a part of pelvic examination in pregnant women.
