Inconclusive Pap Smear

An inconclusive pap smear doesn't necessarily mean a urinary infection or cervical dysplasia is present. Considerable anxieties result for women when their cytology is returned from the lab with abnormal classification. A cytology with undetermined report may be affected the quality of the specimen gathered, preservation of the specimen, or the presence of certain cells that are not typical of cancer but that still appear unusual. An inconclusive pap smear doesn't necessarily mean a urinary infection or cervical dysplasia is present.
