Getting pregnant after miscarriage is common but if miscarriage is repeated certain conditions need to be ruled out, such as the HPV virus that causes cervical cancer diagnosed with a colposcopy. Most women who have had a spontaneous abortion go on to have healthy pregnancies later. Even women with repeated miscarriages have a 70 to 85 percent chance of carrying another pregnancy to term.
