What Causes Miscarriage

It is difficult to determine what causes miscarriage, but an urinary infection is not related to it; with a pap smear test you can see if something is wrong with your cervix. In many cases, miscarriages happen by chance and do not signal a problem in either or both partners. Miscarriages are more common in women over 35 years old and in pregnancies involving more than one fetus. However, a woman should wait a few months after she has miscarried before trying to conceive again. Even women with repeated miscarriages have a 70 to 85 percent chance of carrying another pregnancy to term. Most women who have miscarried tend to go on to have healthy pregnancies later.
