Abdominal pain and bleeding are the early signs of miscarriage; in the first trimester, miscarriages are not related to a verruca, vaginosis and other disorders of the mother. If a woman loses a baby after 20 weeks of pregnancy, it is called a stillbirth. In more than 80 percent of the time, it happens in the first trimester. On average, about 15 percent of known pregnancies end in this misfortune. If heavy bleeding occurs or it is suspected that some foetal tissue has been passed, then your doctor will check for a dilated cervix. Your doctor should always be notified of any spotting or bleeding, heavy or persistent bleeding or any rushes of any fluid from the vagina. Heavy bleeding is the most common sign of miscarriage.
