Reasons For Infertility

There are many reasons for infertility; urethritis and STIs are the most common causes of male infertility. Women over 35 years old have fewer chances to get pregnant, as female ability to conceive a baby is strongly influenced by age. Infertileness may be linked to infections and STDs, hormone imbalances, ovulatory dysfunction in women, impotence and decreased sperm count in men, emotional factors, etc. There are many reasons for infertility; urethritis and STIs are the most common causes of male infertility.

Female factors are responsible for about 40-50 per cent of cases, whereas corresponding figures for the male factors are 30-40 per cent. In some cases, the cause can never be determined since there are a variety of factors involved in the human reproductive system.
