Male Factor Infertility

A male factor infertility comprises about the third of all infertility cases; cervical dysplasia, vaginal wart and other disorders of the woman are the second third and the rest is shared. A sports injury can cause vessels in the testicles to rupture reducing the oxygen supply to sperm-producing cells. Adult mumps can destroy sperm producing cells in the testes and a man can be left sterile. Adult mumps infection, trauma to the testicles, or prostate infection are possible sperm production problems.
