Peritoneal mesothelioma, asbestosis and other disorders caused by exposure to asbestos are difficult to treat.
There are two types of this tumor: cancerous and benign. Cancerous tumor is more common, and it requires serious treatment. Unfortunately, it is not always easy to diagnose, and many people are unknowingly exposed to the influence of asbestos, the most potent cancerogene.

This tumor develops in the lungs, particularly in their protective membrane, called pleura. Because of the proximity of lungs, it may spread to other parts of the body and deeper into the lungs. At this stage the disease is less likely to be cured.
