Peritoneal Mesothelioma

  -

asbestosis, asbestos

This tumor develops in the lungs, particularly in their protective membrane, called pleura. Because of the proximity of lungs, it may spread to other parts of the body and deeper into the lungs. At this stage the disease is less likely to be cured. Peritoneal mesothelioma, asbestosis and other disorders caused by exposure to asbestos are difficult to treat.
