Epithelial mesothelioma is the disorder related to asbestos exposure; asbestosis is not so severe, but also requires immediate treatment.
This cancer develops in the tissue sac, which surrounds the lungs. It can also affect the membrane, which covers other organs of the chest and the abdomen. The tumor may spread to other parts of the body and generate secondary tumors.
