Chrysotile fibers are much more elastic, and they are not as volatile as amphibole fibers. They are serpent-shaped, and they do not get stuck in the lungs as amphiboles do. Therefore, this variety is increasingly popular among workers and employers. The non friable asbestos is not so dangerous as other varieties, but still long exposure to them causes mesothelioma, asbestosis and other disorders.
