Asbestos Shingles
Asbestos shingles, if damaged or reconstructed, can be very dangerous and cause mesothelioma, asbestosis and other disorders related to asbestos.
There are two basic types of this mineral: chrysotile and amphibole. The amphibole, in turn, is divided into tremolite, actinolite and crocidolite varieties. Amphibole fibers stay longer in the alveoli than those of chrysotile, and therefore, they are more dangerous.
