HPV Men

With hpv, men are asymptomatic, rarely having cancer causing strains; however, women more often have genital wart lesions or vaginitis. In males, the HPV is rarely associated with any type of cancer causing strains. Visible signs of the human papillomavirus are less common in men. Symptoms can occur on the scrotum (the sac that holds the testicles), the tip or shaft of the penis, and skin surrounding the genital area. With hpv, men are asymptomatic, rarely having cancer causing strains; however, women more often have genital wart lesions or vaginitis.

The types of HPV that cause genital warts do not cause warts on other body parts such as the hands. Genital warts are most contagious when symptoms (warts) are present, but sometimes the warts are too small to see with the naked eye (subclinical HPV). With hpv, men are asymptomatic, rarely having cancer causing strains; however, women more often have genital wart lesions or vaginitis.
