The virus hpv, human virus or Human Papilloma virus, is also known as condyloma, and may also cause lichen sclerosis. This germ is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted infections. Approximately 5.5 million new cases of this infection are reported every year in the United States. Infection may result in warts, or be completely asymptomatic.
