HPV Warts

Of the conditions caused by hpv, warts are readily removed with cryotherapy or LEEP, however, cervical dysplasia can benefit from supplemental immune therapy. This disorder is caused by Human papillomavirus, which is a double-stranded, circular, supercoiled DNA virus enclosed in an icosahedral capsid and comprising 72 capsomers. More than 150 types of HPV have been identified. Certain types tend to occur at particular anatomic sites. The primary clinical manifestation of the disease include common type, genital type, flat, deep palmoplantar type (myrmecia), focal epithelial hyperplasia, and plantar cysts. The diagnosis is made primarily on the basis of clinical findings. Necessary procedures are: paring and biopsy.
