HPV Types

There are different hpv types or strains, some of which are genital, requiring cryotherapy or other treatment when developing to the stage of cervical dysplasia. There exist about 80 kinds of human papillomavirus and only several of them are rather dangerous. The majority of cases are just common warts that are rather easy to treat. But the virus itself cannot be treated completely and may cause more warts in the future. There are different hpv types or strains, some of which are genital, requiring cryotherapy or other treatment when developing to the stage of cervical dysplasia.

Women with genital warts have more chances of developing cervical cancer. To prevent the disease every woman that is sexually active should avoid multiple sexual partners and have regular Pap smear tests to catch precancerous changes while they are still minor.
