HPV Type

There are approximately 90 HPV type of strains, 30 of these strains are genital and about 6 can cause an ASCUS reading on a pap smear that could lead to cervical cancer. There are several kinds of human papillomavirus; some of them have no visual symptoms at all, some cause warts on feet and hands, some lead to genital and anal warts. This condition is dangerous, because some kinds of this virus are associated with cervical and anal cancer.
