HPV Contagious

In the transmission of hpv, contagious stages of the virus are hard to pin point, and cryotherapy is an optional treatment when cervical dysplasia is diagnosed. This virus can be spread during oral, genital or anal sex. Not all people who had a sex with an infected person develop warts, because the immune system of some people is strong enough to fight off the virus. About two-thirds of people develop warts within 3-4 months, some take years. Genital warts can be sub-clinical (invisible to the naked eye, tiny or occur in clusters and look like cauliflower. It is impossible to predict whether the warts will develop into cervical cancer or will resolve by their own. The warts can be removed by several methods, but the virus itself cannot be treated.
