Genital HPV

When genital hpv is diagnosed, further testing is often necessary and will determine if cryosurgery or cone biopsy are to be performed. Warts caused by the human papillomavirus can be easily diagnosed by a doctor. Invisible warts in the vulvar and anal area can be detected during the procedure called colposcopy, when the doctor uses a magnifying instrument to look at the areas of suspected infection. When genital hpv is diagnosed, further testing is often necessary and will determine if cryosurgery or cone biopsy are to be performed.

Cryosurgery, Cone Biopsy

In women, this infection can be indicated by a routine Pap smear test. If the result of a Pap smear is abnormal, further examination is necessary to be sure that the problem is caused by the human papilomavirus. Often warts disappear without treatment; it’s impossible to predict their development. When genital hpv is diagnosed, further testing is often necessary and will determine if cryosurgery or cone biopsy are to be performed.
