Human Papillomavirus Infection
The genital or STD strains of human papillomavirus infection will cause cervical dysplasia that leads to cancer and the venereal wart.
With monitoring, the cell changes are found and treated before progressing to cancer. It is the cervix in women that needs to be watched or monitored. Most men will not have any symptoms or health risks such as cancer with the “high-risk” types of HPV.

The majority of cervical cancer cases are in women who have not had a pap smear in five or more years. Most women do not develop cervical cancer even though they have been exposed and have more than one type of HPV, including several “high-risk” types.
